Today we are going to take a look at two 4G smartphones by two different vendors. Today we shall be comparing the LG Nitro HD with the Motorola Droid RAZR. Let us start off and see which phone has more to offer.

Display & Size:

The LG Nitro HD has the dimensions of 133.9 x 67.8 x 10.4 mm, and has a weight of about 127 grams. The Motorola Droid RAZR, on the other hand, measures 130.7 x 68.9 x 7.1 mm, and weighs just as much as the LG Nitro HD does. Both phones weigh about 127 grams.

The LG Nitro HD features a 4.5 inch AH-IPS LCD screen. It has a resolution of 720 x1280 pixels. Its capacitive touchscreen offers a pixel density of about 326ppi and supports upto 16M colors. The Motorola Droid RAZR, on the other hand, has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED LCD. It has a resolution of 540×960. It offers a pixel density of 256 ppi.

With a slightly bigger screen and the higher resolution, the LG Nitro HD certainly has a lot more crispier graphics to offer.

Operating System:

Both the smartphones run on the same version of the Android OS; they both run on Gingerbread. LG does, however, plan to upgrade the Nitro HD and offer the Ice-Cream Sandwich. Sounds like one tasty treat indeed.

The LG Nitro HD offers a dual core 1.5GHz Scorpion CPU processoralong with an Adreno 220 GPU processor. The Motorola Droid features a TI OMAP 4430 chipset, a dual core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU processor and offers a great graphic experience with the PowerVR SGX540 GPU processor. To be honest, when it comes to speed both the smartphones are fast and hard to choose from.

Memory:

When it comes to memory, the LG Nitro HD smartphone offers a RAM of 1 GB. The Motorola smartphone also features a RAM of 1 GB.The LG Nitro HD offers 4 GB of internal storage memory and further features memory expansionvia a microSD expansion slot. The Motorola smartphone features an internal storage of 16 GB.The LG Nitro HD and the Motorola Droid RAZR offer an expandable memory of up to 32 GB with the use of microSD. Furthermore, both the LG Nitro HD and the Motorola Droid RAZRare furnished with a 16 BG card included in the package.

Camera:

Both the smartphones feature a primary and a secondary camera. Both the phones have an 8 Megapixel camera at the back of the smartphone and record videos at a resolution of 3264×2448 pixels. The Nitro HD offers such features as Geo-tagging, face detection and smile detection. The Motorola smartphone on the other hand features Touch-focus, geo-tagging, face detection and image stabilization. Both the smartphones features high quality video recordings of 1080p. The LG Nitro HD also features a secondary camera at the front. The Motorola Droid RAZR features a 2 Megapixel front camera and supports high quality 720p video recording. Both phones feature video calling.

Connectivity:

Both smartphones offer quad band GSM connectivity, HSDPA for 3G network connectivity, Motorola Razor also features CDMA connectivity for 2G and 3G networks. Moreover, both phones provide LTE 700 for 4G network connectivity. Both phones are GPRS and EDGE enabled. Both phones also offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (version 3 in the Nitro HD and version 4 in the Droid RAZR) and microUSB v2.0 connectivity.

Battery Life:

With a 1780 mAh Standard Li-Ion battery, the Motorola Droid RAZR provides a standby time of upto 204 hours, and a talk time of upto 12 h 30 min. The LG Nitro HD, on the other hand, providesupto3 hours talk-time and about 252 hours of standby-time on an 1830mAh Standard Li-Ion battery.

Price:

The LG Nitro HDis offered by AT&T for $599. The Motorola Droid RAZR, however costs around $649.99.
